The main body is crafted from purple clay, featuring a fine texture and excellent breathability. It possesses the characteristic of being “nourishable” (over time, prolonged contact with tea liquor causes the surface to gradually develop a warm, lustrous patina). The form depicts a dragon-turtle (a traditional auspicious beast with a dragon’s head and turtle’s body). The turtle shell features openwork perforations. Crafted through hand-molding of purple clay and high-temperature firing, the details—such as scales and turtle patterns—are vividly rendered with three-dimensional depth.
